Damage picture: the nymphs and the female adults suck up the plant saps, thus impeding the growth or deforming the leaves. In the secreted honeydew, secondary fungi may grow.

Duration of development; egg-adult, at 21șC ± 45 days.
The young larvae feed preferably on the eggs of young mealy bug larvae. The adults devour all mealy bug stages.

LEPTOMASTIX epona parasitic wasp
Duration of development; egg-adult, at 20șC ± 33 days.
The female wasp lays its eggs in the larvae and in the adults of the mealy bug. After that, the larva devours the body substances.
